What is Radon?
Radon is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas. It is naturally produced by the decay of uranium in soil and rock then it is released into the air and water.
How does Radon get into your home?
Radon comes into the home from the ground beneath it. Basements and lower lever rooms and spaces are typically found with higher levels of the gas. These are always the best areas to start testing.
Why is Radon dangerous and needs to be removed from your home?
Radon, the number one cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers, decays quickly, breaking down into radioactive particles. When inhaled, the particles can cause damage to the cells that line the lung. Long term exposures has been proven to cause lung cancer.
